WALKING TRAIL
We have about 2 km of packed gravel walking trails in our 30-acre bush. Please take advantage of the breathtaking path! Remember to bring the binoculars provided in the cupboard above the pantry and microwave along on your walk because you are sure to see and hear many species of birds including the occasional bald eagle!
Along with nature’s beauty, there are many hazards, so please stick to the trails and use common sense and safety measures. The Nith river winds along the back of our property and is very rapid, especially with flooding in the springtime. Please maintain a safe distance from the river’s edge, there are no lifeguards on duty! We appreciate you sticking to the path. Also, there is much wildlife living within and passing through the bush including coyotes, deer, raccoons, wild turkeys, bald eagles and there have been cougar sightings close to this area. Respect the wildlife, never approach it, and only walk the bush during daylight hours. Be aware that you explore the bush at your own risk.
OUR “WILLOW NOOK”
We have a beautiful little nook where the willow trees shade the winding creek that runs up the side of the property. Follow the lilac bushes down the grassy path towards this peaceful little area and enjoy listening to the stream run and the birds sing! It’s a peaceful little spot!
